The provision of cover for own or hired equipment can fall under a number of types of insurance. However, engineering insurance / inspection policies can provide a package of covers to fit your needs, including physical damage to installed or portable equipment.

If you hire plant equipment it is more than likely that the plant owners will hold you liable for any damages or theft of the equipment. To ensure you are fully protected from any costs arising from this, CCI will advise you on the cover that best suits your needs.

If your equipment is out to hire you need make sure the customer hiring it out is covered for damage or theft. This is known as CPA Conditions and is a critical part of plant insurance.
